Garrett is an architect with the Neighboring Concepts team. Originally from Wisconsin, he graduated with his Bachelor’s degree in Architecture from Penn State. While in college, he spent a semester studying abroad in Rome where he learned about how cities transform over time.
Over the course of his professional career, Garrett has taken a special interest in designing the experience within a building in addition to the space itself. Architecture can help create emotions in the users of a building, from subtle and intuitive wayfinding cues to more obvious, playful elements. With his background highlighting the importance of contextual design and the power of architecture, Garrett’s interest in architecture focuses on developing designs that make a positive lasting impact for both the users of that building and the surrounding community.
If I weren’t an architect I’d be… a LEGO sculptor
