Rachel Hamrick

Architectural and Urban Designer

Cities have the capability of providing something for everybody, only because, and only when, they are created by everybody.

–Jane Jacobs

Rachel Hamrick is an Architectural and Urban Designer at Neighboring Concepts. She has a B.A. of Arts and Architecture and masters of Urban Design from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. A summer studying the urban architecture and planning of China’s largest cities ignited Rachel’s passion for public space as a place for community enrichment and well-being.  Coupled with her experience in municipal planning, she brings an understanding of unified development, ordinances, and zoning requirements to every project.

As a Western North Carolina native, Rachel loves the outdoors and appreciates the importance of taking advantage of natural context. She enjoys helping clients dream big and visualize the possibilities of their projects through a mixture of renderings and 3-d modeling.

If I weren’t a designer I’d be…
